St. Dwynwen's Noson Lawen (Merry Evening)
Join us in 2013 and see what surprises are in store.
St. Dwynwyn is the Welsh patron Saint of Lovers.  Every year we celebrate St Dwynwen with a Welsh Noson Lawen or Merry Evening.  This mini-festival of Welsh Culture starts with a potluck dinner features a program that in previous years has included poetry, music, stories, a mummer’s play, folk dancing and a visit from the Mari Lwyd.

St. David's Day
March 3rd, 2013 - 2:30 PM

St. David’s Day is the national festival day of Wales, and is celebrated world-wide, from Cardiff to Patgonia.

Here in Colorado, you can join with the Colorado Welsh Society in celebrating Welsh music and culture on Sunday, March 3, at 2:30 pm, at the Kirk of Bonnie Brae Church, 1201 South Steele St., Denver, 80210.

The program will feature sacred and patriotic music and poetry in English and Welsh. Members of the Colorado Welsh Choir will perform, and the audience is invited to join in singing favorite Welsh hymns.

A potluck dinner follows, please bring something to share. The event is free and open to the public, donations appreciated.

Welsh Heritage Week

Welsh Heritage Week is a week-long course on everything Welsh, including: language lessons, folk dancing, clogging, hymn singing, harp lessons, Welsh literature, and so much more.

Colorado Welsh Society will be at the Elizabeth Celtic Festival again this year, and the CWS Folk Dancers will be performing onSaturday.
The Elizabeth Celtic Festival blends a traditional Scottish Highland Games with a Medieval and Renaissance Fest, a British Dog Show, and a community fair to create a great weekend of fun for the entire family.

Events and activities range from the serious to the silly, from centuries-old traditions to things that are new. There are: Activities for children; Lots of Merchants, Artisans, Food, Drink; Great music and a bit of Rugby.

Cymdeithas Madog Presents
Cwrs Cymraeg 2012,

Cymdeithas Madog is pleased to announce it's 36th annual Cwrs Cymraeg Welsh language week. Cwrs Cymraeg 2012 will be held July 22 - 29 2012 on the campus of the University of Utah in Salt lake City.

Cwrs Cymraeg (which simply means "Welsh Course") emphasizes the spoken language, with classroom instruction at various levels ranging from absolute beginners to quite advanced. The teaching staff of experienced Welsh-speaking instructors is brought from Wales and North America . There are approximately 5 hours of language class each day, supplemented by further language and culture-related activities in the afternoon. Evening events such as singing, folk dancing, Welsh-language films, and a Noson Lawen (talent night) provide additional opportunities to relax while enjoying a Welsh-language atmosphere.


Rocky Mountain Scottish Festival and Highland Games

Colorado Welsh Society will be at the Rocky Mountain Scottish Festival again this year, and the CWS Folk Dancers will be performing on Saturday.

Longs Peak Scottish - Irish Festival
Estes Park, Colorado, September 6th - 9th, 2011

Come celebrate the season with members of the Colorado Welsh Society at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 13th & Poplar. We will have Christmas songs, Welsh hymns, and Christmas Customs, followed by te bach (refreshments) and entertainment. Everyone is welcome.
